You may be, is it only with certain foods or when you’re in a hurry to eat? Because that is normal, some of us cannot eat bread, eggs, rice, etc…. And if you’re in a hurry you forget to chew well enough. Also after a pbing, you should stay on liquids a few days, because the swelling from pbing can cause you to get tighter, which can leave you on a never ending cycle of pbing.

If you don’t think either of those is it, then I would suggest a small unfill. Talk to your doctor.

I have pb'd before and not been too tight. The reason is that I was either eating too fast, not chewing enough, or eating the wrong thing that disagreed with me.

First I would try to analyze how closely you are following the bandster rules and try to figure out what is making you pb. For some of us, chicken and salmon are rough in the beginning, some people have problems with Pasta, bread or carbs.

You are absolutely right. Learned my lesson on this one.

Like the others said, if...

A.) You are only eating when hungry, taking small bites (about the size of the fingernail on your index finger), chewing it thoroughly and putting your fork down between bites (it should take 20-30 minutes to eat a meal.

B.) You are not PB'ing only on certain foods (common culprits being doughy breads, dry meats, fibrous veggies, starchy carbs)

C.) Are not drinking too soon after a meal

...then you may need to look at whether you are too tight.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
