Awesome thanks. How much weight have you lost? Do you attend his support groups at all? How often do you have to get a fill?

:) Hi, I'm happy with the fact I'm 4 dress sizes down from 24 to a 14 in lbs. it's only about 45lb. my goal is 80 to 100 but I need to get a fill I can tell I'm ready... l was told I should go more often for my fills then I have. I've only had 3 with a 10cc band so this month i'm getting one. I would like to go to the support groups but I live in T.O. and work a lot this makes it very hard to get to one, but this has to be the year I hear a lot That the 3 year mark is when you make your goal. I feel wonderful I go out with friends I'm not the big girl any more. I can do things that I have not been able to do for a long time, this was not an easy way out, it's still takes a lot of work on or part to make it happen. Look at me go on. I wish I could of started with Dr. Billy there team will help you get to your goal in no time. Hope this all helps be strong and proud of your self. Nett:thumbup:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
