New to LapBand

Hello All, I am 2 weeks from my 21st birthday and i have made the decision to have the lap band surgery. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18 but have had weight issues since i was in Elementary school. I currently weigh 255 and im 5'9. Its So hard and i have no one to relate to esp. because I live in Socal and everyone here is skinny in my opinion too skinny.

I am Very excited to be having the surgery. I am also scared cause all i have ever known is this.. They are telling me i should have the surgery by aug of 2009. I cant wait. I am actually very good at eating well its just so hard cause people with PCOS have to work 3 times as hard to drop the same amount of weight. I am totally Vegan.. I am normally completely natural but when you have tried it ALL this is just what has to be done.

I really would like to talk to some ppl who are on the same journey or have already had the surgery.. the more friends and support the better!
