songinmysoul1969 0 Posted January 28, 2009 I am new to the forum, but not lap-band. I am one of the people who has had a rough first year. I had two fills and very little weight loss up to then. I had a third fill, which was an overfill and was miserable for several months. I was throwing up all the time, had heartburn and terrible pain. I know what you must all think, why not go back to your Dr. right away? I had surgery in Mexico, great Doc too, just moved from CA, to OR and had the worst time finding a Doc to see me; especially having had it done in MX. Anyhow, I finally did and he took out .4 CC's. I have since joined Watchers (just to keep me honest and eating healthy) and am down a total of 30lbs. It's not much compared to many others here, but hey I am under 195 now so........better than a kick in the pants!
ohjuly7878 20 Posted January 28, 2009 Keep up the good work! I know it's especially hard to stay motivated if the weight loss isn't stellar... so you're doing great.
Lilwoolf 0 Posted January 28, 2009 Did you find Weight Watchers helped you get back on track? I'm seriously thinking of doing that.
songinmysoul1969 0 Posted January 28, 2009 Definitely! It helps you make better choices and our benefit is, we get full quicker than someone not banded. I do much better with the point system and have lost 10 pounds in about three weeks!
