I'm jealous - we went for our 20 week scan 2 weeks ago and bub curled up into a ball. Have to go back in 4 weeks for another scan as nothing they did could get it to move into a better position. The only things they could see were kidney's spine and skull. Showed bub is actually big for our timing but I will be happier once we know all other organs etc look OK.

Hope everyone and their bubs out there are doing well.

Danitra,

I'm only like 9.5 weeks along, but i had a slight unfil last week. Only 0.3 cc out, but it helped a lot. I have always kept my band on the tight side though, so i definitely still have restriction, but i am able to eat all the veggies and Protein i need.

Congrats on the pregnancy! How far along are you?

Danitra,

I had my fill completely out because I get very sick with pregnancy and didnt want to throw up with the band. I think as long as your gaining and not losing .. and not sick you can keep your fill or adjust it slightly as you go..

congrats! I just had my baby 7weeks ago..

Hey all you Breastfeeders out there.. I am dying to get a fill because I am wanting to eat everything in sight.. did anyone have any problems with milk supply after getting filled?? I was hoping to wait 3 months because I wanted the milk supply to be good and established before I got a fill.. but I think I am not going to wait because I dont want to gain more weight. I think as long as I keep my Fluid up and can eat at least 1200 cal I think I am ok..

I have hungry days and then I have not so hungry days, but i'm losing weight while breast feeding (10 lbs in the past 3 weeks) so i'm gonna hold off on a fill because this is adequate weight loss and i'm certain my baby is getting enough nutrition. If I stop losing and start eating too much I may consider it, but for now, i'm holding off...how is your milk supply looking? Have you tried pumping to see how much you are producing?

I think it is 1600 calories a day that is needed to support breastfeeding. If you can get enough healty food in, you should be fine.

Everyone is so different, it all depends on your body. Some are fine with a fill the entire time, some need a small unfill and some can not tolerate any fill.

For me I got ultra-sensitive to the band during pregnancy, needed three emergency unfills and had a slip in the hospital during delivery on an empty band which led to a band replacement. The absolute first symptom of pregnancy for me before any other (and I am talking within days of pregnancy) was extreme band tightness after I had been floating by with the same fill for six months.

I think the level of Fluid is something you just have to take as it comes . . . let your own body be your guide as to whether you have too much or too little. Just be careful with vomitting . . . if it happens regularly a complete unfill is best or you may risk your band.

Thanks Heather.. I scheduled a fill for Jan 8th.. I think I am going to follow weight watchers because they give you extra points for BF and tell you how much to eat to lose a lb a week..

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
