For me, it was this incredible feeling I got yesterday when I tried on a pair of black pants that I haven't fit into for more than 2 years and they fit!!!

There are a lot of other good things too, but right now, that one is putting me in the best mood! And I'm wearing them to a party tonight!

I know that feeling. I was down because the scale has not been moving but today I tried on a pair of pants the next size down and they fit!!

I am the same way. I am down one size down on my jeans and dresses. I look at myself in the mirror and I can see a small difference on how the clothes are laying on me. Let's keep it up.

I like feeling my restriction, it keeps me in check and it gives me confidence... sounds silly maybe to some people, but for me it means that I have a chance.

Having to go buy a pair of pants to wear bowling cause the pair I brought with me were way to big and kept falling off! And getting the new pants out of the "normal" section instead of the plus size section (eventhough they still have the XL on them at least they don't have the "W" before or after the size :cursing:).

I enjoy:

Fitting into old clothes I haven't worn in over a year

Working out at the gym again

Jogging miles instead of walking a few laps

Watching my double chin go away

No more obsessing over food

No more sneaking food and feeling lousy about it

Watching my husband buy into getting healthy too

Having more energy for my baby girl

I used to get incredibly frustrated when I tried to diet that there'd be so many darn social occasions in my life. Every week, there was some event or another that made me feel either as if I couldnt start my diet yet, or that this week would be a waste of time becuase I had to go to someone's birthday etc.

Now, these events are not even blips on the radar. I dont feel compelled to overeat at them, they dont affect my weight one way or another and I've realised that your "diet" is your lifestyle and that you must be able to handle all contingencies.

I love that my band has helped me to learn that.

I also love eating like a lady and being the last one finished instead of shoving it all down my face like a pig.

I love walking with less pain, standing up without making weird noises, playing with my kids and having more money in my pocket from not eatting fast food.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
