Also...and this is for the ladies...and I have a tendancy to share to much. But I am looking forward to be able to shave...we'll say my "bikini line"...and actually see it! lol...

sometimes I feel like Edward Scissorhands down there. Just hoping everything is nice and tidy.

hahah...well...there. I said it.

Being able to cross my legs

Cutting and painting my own toe nails

Shorts in the summer

Summer PERIOD...now that I'm not so hot all the time

Getting out of a chair without rocking first

Not cringing when DH runs his hands over my body:tt1:

Oh my goodness...where do I begin!!!!

I look forward to...

-riding comfortably on a plane (possibly in the middle seat)

-wearing a swimsuit

-not worrying about not fitting in seats like at church, the movies, etc.

-being able to tie my shoes comfortably

-being able to buy knee high boots that zip

-not shopping at Lane Bryant

-not using a pillow to hide my stomach when I sit down

There are oh so many more but those are the biggies that I can think of right now.

I can't wait for that to change!!!! New body, new attitude here I come.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
