A short video you might enjoy

Recommended Posts

This is a short 3 minute video that I put together about body contouring after weight loss. It is not a professional video by any means...but I think it is a nice compilation of before and after pictures. It shows all the procedures that have been discussed on this site...including the hard to find fleur-de-lis tummy tuck! Enjoy.

Im gonna need all of that when I lose the 260lbs i need to lose. I know how much a Tummy Tuck costs but Im not clear as to how much a body lift is. Im sure I will need the body lift. Also can arms be done at the same time? If so how much together. Thanks for taking the time.

a LBL usually runs about 50% more than a TT - but this can vary between surgeons. While many procedures can be combined, I would not recommend performing a LBL and a brachioplasty at the same time...it is way too much surgery. It is possible to "split" the LBL into a TT and a "back side". In this case, a brachioplasty can be combined with either the front half or back half. Most PS (myself included) do give significant discounts when procedures are combined.

Dr did insurance companies cover any thing if it medically needed. I got the lapband done 12/08 and weighed in at 462 so I have alot to loose and I know that there will be alot of skin hanging. I do work out with a trainer to help tone up some but I am thinking that there will be alot still. Might sound like a dumb question but is there payment options with ps, I live in Iowa and there is not alot of talk about ps here.

Thanks

Amanda

Insurance will cover some procedures if it meets the requirements of medical necessity - check with your specific insurance carrier to see what these are because they vary. The PS themselves usually do not finance, but can help you get set up with outside finance companies that specialize in surgical procedures such as care credit, capital one, etc.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
