davidra 0 Posted January 20, 2009 I was banded on 12/15/08 at weight 271. Weight this morning is 252. Lost most the first week or so. Am not particularly hungry ever but find myself eating and grazing when I'm not at work on weekends. Have the occasional feeling that something won't go down, but I've been pretty good about portions, with the problem that I don't weigh food at all and lean toward higher calorie items (lobster bisque is my latest weakness). Have not had a fill yet, and I'm trying to decide if I need one as my weight has stabilized for the past week or so. Nice to be aboard.

A fill will help if portion size or staying satisfied for less than 3-4 hours is the problem. Unfortunately, if the problem is poor food choices, it won't. If you haven't had a fill at all, but are satisfied with the correct portion size, discuss that with your surgeon's staff. They may tell you that a fill isn't needed or give you a small fill. Do you journal your food intake? It may give you an idea why you aren't losing weight this week. I like to use fitday.com and many people use dailyplate.com. It makes it easy.
