Big08 0 Posted January 20, 2009 All, I was banded this morning at the Prestonwood Surgery Center in Plano, TX by Dr. Victor Gonzalez (Great Facility and great surgical team). I am up, walking around and drinking sips of Water. I have a little pain, like a tightness in my chest, but very manageable. I am not feeling physical hunger, though I have a little bit of "head hunger". I am looking forward to my continuing journey and want to thank all the members on this board for the great advice and support on my pre-op diet (which I did not cheat on!) and look foraward to your support going forward. Hang in there everyone, as somebody once said it is difficult right now, however "This too shall pass."

HeavensAngel1978 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Congrats big08, I am so happy for you. You have accomplished a great thing. Just imagine how much better your life is going to be and most iof all, how much better you will feel. I look forward to that as well, as my surgery is Friday. I am still kind of nervous and hoping my liver has shrunk enough. The pre op diet is horrible. I hope you continue with much success in the future. Again, congratulations.
coloradobanding 5 Posted January 20, 2009 You and I got banded the same day/time, me in Denver, CO. Everything went as smoothly as possible, except waking up from anesthesia (lil weird). I too am resting an looking forward to feeling better.
SoonToBeTheRealMe 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Congrats on the life change!!! I got banded last week and am now on pureed food...the only hungry days I had was day 5 and 6. But I guess it all depends on what your doctor and dietitian recommend for you on your post-op diet. I am amazed reading the various differences given. But good luck! Happy_Girl 0 Posted January 21, 2009 I'm so glad you had a good experience. I'm getting banded at the same place Thursday morning (different doctor, though), and am starting to get a little freaked out! Maybe it's the loads of fun I've been having with the pre-op diet? Hhhmmm? Anyway...your post made me feel better. Thanks.
