I finally got the surgery (lap band) approved through my insurance company. Went to a siminar at Hurley Bariatric Center last November and have been jumping through hoops every since. The insurance company would not approve the procedure, for lack of medical info I think. So I filed an appeal and had my primary doctor submit additional info that was not included the first time. I found out today, IT WORKED!!!!! They reviewed it and approved it today. Now I have an appointment for the physic exam on 2/9/09. I am on my way finally.:(
