Wondering if I'm tight enough or should get a little more. I have 7 cc and it has been 2 months from the fill from hell and bruised so bad I've barely recovered, so I'm not fill scared! I have lost 10 pounds since, but wonder if it is time for more Fluid. I am really tight in morning and can't eat much, lunch I can eat pretty good and at night I'm kinda tight, I get the hiccups and my left shoulder hurts when I eat to tight and too fast. That nerve is very sensitive. I'm I'm almost 7 months out and down 50 pounds. Any ideas would be great!!

My office says signs that you need a fill are as follows:

1) Losing less than 1-2 pounds a week. You are losing within range so you sound good there.

2) Feeling physically hungry between meals (or less than four hours after eating).

3) Eating too much during meals. It sounds like you might be OK there as well since you feel tight.

It really doesnt sound like you need a fill. However, if you do get one, it should be very, very tiny.

Being too tight is not only unpleasant, it actually causes some people to gain because they start eating easier foods that may not be as healthy or might have too many calories.

I think Jack is right. You don't really seem like you need a fill. Just like most of us you want to lose it all now. But 10 pounds over the last two months is great, better than great when you consider the holidays. I'd hold off on a fill and just look for a great dress for May . Don't buy it yet unless you buy a smaller size. Good luck.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
