scurrr 0 Posted January 16, 2009 I had my third fill in 17 months. I don't really tolerate them well. The last fill I had, the doctor could only put 0.25ml of Fluid in my band about 6 months ago. I hadn't lost any weight, so he put in 0.5ml last friday. I did ok for the first 3 days, then my band slowly closed up and I couldn't even swallow my own spit. I went Wednesday night and had 0.75ml, my last 2 fills removed. I feel much better now, but I feel like I've taken 2 steps back. I don't want to put any weight on. Has this happened to anyone else, not tolerating the fills?????

Mim 0 Posted January 16, 2009 Yes, it happened to me this week. I tolerated my 1st fill well (4cc on 12/10/2008). I went back for my 2nd fill on Wednesday and left with .4cc less than I came in with! While I was in the office, Water would not go down. Multiple episodes of vomiting and 3 needles later, I left with 3.6cc. It was very disappointing. My surgeon plans to take my fills in very small increments from now on. Although I don't want a repeat of that last episode, it is incredibly frustrating to be almost 3 months post-op without any restriction. I'm still losing slowly, but I'm not getting any help from my (very expensive) "tool"! I hope it goes better for both of us next time.
