Kristen, we were banded one day apart and have experienced just about the same results! Our end goal is very close to each other too! Progress feels good doesn't it!

Hi All,

Thank you for all of your well wishes!

My DH surgery went well, but unfortunately he went into kidney failure. Luckily they were able to resolve it within 48 hours, but boy those were some scary hours. He is doing much better now and we hope for him to be discharged within the next few days.

I am trying to keep in line, but I feel like I am taking the easy way out with food. I at least got in a 30 minute workout today which is the first since Thursday last week.

Let's hope things keep improving!

Oh Gilta! You must have been terrified! Glad to hear he's doing better!

As far as what you're doing for yourself, just do what you can, when you can. But don't ignore yourself either! Not good for you or your DH!

AND even the easy way out with the food, I'm sure is no where NEAR what it was before surgery! Don't be too hard on yourself! Take care. Give my best to your DH. Both of you are in my prayers.

Brad it does feel good! Sometimes I see myself walking by in the mirror and wonder who that gal is! LOL! The best part is being able to be active again.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
