Gus-Gus 0 Posted January 15, 2009 Hello, I am new to this forum (and blogging in general). I was banded on 9/29/08 by Dr. Krahn in Riverside, CA. I have had two fills and am down about 60 pounds so far. Still a little frustrated though, because I'm not sure if my fills are correct, etc. Sometimes I am full right away, sometimes if I don't measure my food I can eat and eat and I have gotten "stuck" a few times now. The worst part is I feel like I am always hungry. It's very frustrating. My work schedule has made is very hard to get to the support groups through my doctor's office so I am hoping chatting with you all will help me get through the learning process and beyond. Any advice is welcome.
ReallySmrtGrl 0 Posted January 16, 2009 I'm pre-op so can't advise on the technical aspects of your fills, hunger, etc. But I can say that 60 pounds in 3 months is amazing! Congrats and don't loose sight of the success you have already had. It has inspired me so thank you for sharing.
stevegoad 32 Posted January 16, 2009 Welcome-welcome Gus-Gus... Glad you're here. Good weightloss so far. Congrats! Don't get down. I didn't even come near my sweet spot until my third fill. Now I am about to go back for my 4th, because after 2 1/2 months, I am beginning to lose my restriction a bit. So just hang in there... you're doing fantastic!. And again, welcome! Gus-Gus 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Hey guys, Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am very excited about the progress I've made so far. My health has already improved so much and I anticipate I will be off all my High blood pressure meds within the next few months. My reason for being frustrated is that I am so excited about adjusting to my new lifetime "lifestyle" change and it's hard when I'm not sure how my fills are supposed to work etc. One thing I do know for sure is that no matter how long it takes, this is one program that will not eventually fail like all the rest have. To: ReallySmrtGirl, good luck on your upcoming surgery. During your post op phase the things that really helped me were sugar free chocolate pudding and sugar free popsicles. Stater Bro's had diet soda popsicles that were awesome. Keep me posted on how it goes.
