giveyouthemoon 4 Posted August 3, 2005 Oh Star....that sucks. Honey, stay strong. Make sure you are taking your pain meds on a regular schedule. Stay AHEAD of the pain and don't let it get too bad. Each day gets better to stay head down and determined. And congrats on your surgery!!!
hagerteresa 3 Posted August 3, 2005 Hi Star, Sorry your not feeling so well yet. It really does get better... I recall waking up the next day wondering what the hell I was thinking and here I was in a foreign country to boot... Once I got up walking around it helped. Two nights after surgery I had to walk just to get around an airport to get back home. The next day I was shopping at Costco... It took a while before I could lay on my stomach and maybe a couple of weeks before I could bend over but it all did get better. Definitely keep ahead of your pain with the meds. Best wishes, Teresa
corazoncita 0 Posted August 3, 2005 Sorry your feeling so bad. I remember not being able to get comfortable to sleep. But it will get easier everyday. Remember to get your fluids in, take those pain meds., and try to walk as much as you can. Hope you feel better soon.
Kelliebelly 13 Posted August 4, 2005 For a week or so I really regretted having the band done. I was in pain, not being able to eat and giving up smoking. I know I cried alot that week, but once the pain starts subsiding you start to feel amazing!!!!

penguins4ever 0 Posted August 4, 2005 Welcome to band land and yes you will feel normal soon. The tightness in your chest is your belly feeling the swelling. I was worried too, but that goes away in about 10 days or so. Walk a lot, that will help. Congrats and welcome!!
