irochka 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Hey! So I was banded on January 9th. At the day of surgery I weighed 200.7 lbs. I weighed myself the day after and was close to 205 (I guess swelling and all that). Today, January 14th I am 196 lbs. Already out of the dreaded 200lbs!!!!!! I guess my first goal is to reach 185lbs by the 26th (the day of my post op visit). Do you guys think it is doable? Any advice? I am excited but also terrified!
flowers 0 Posted January 15, 2009 Lose about 15 lbs by Jan 26th?? I never lost that fast. A huge week for me is 3 lbs, 2 lbs is more normal. And I had more to lose it looks like than you did. Maybe Im not understanding you about which month you want to get to 185 by.

vkcse03 0 Posted January 15, 2009 Don't rush. I'm 7 month post op and I've lost a total of 45lbs. Slow some months and faster other months. Now is the time for healing and not getting on the scale. You WILL have to excerise plus eat a better diet in order to lose weight. I was very disappointed in the beginning because my weight lost was so slow. I was so tight and barely ate anything but the weight just did not come off. I finally decided to start working out 5days a week, intense cardio and then finally I started losing 1lbs a wk. Be realistic and plan your workout schedule. Take time to heal and good luck.
