derbin247 0 Posted February 3, 2009 I am getting banded on the 25th! How has your process been?
hedostar 0 Posted February 3, 2009 i started the process on 10/31 where they told me everything i needed to do. There was so much that it was overwhelming, :w00t:but i did everything ASAP.:wink2: as a matter of fact the surgical coordinator told me that i have the record for completing all my test the fastest. i had to do the sleep apnea test, psy and nutrionist before i could get a date. then i had to do a UGI series, abdominal sonogram, echo, stress test, pulmonary function test, and attend a lap band group before the surgery. everything was done by 12/16 and got a date for 2/4 in december:thumbup:. I just got my insurance approval about 2 weeks ago and i am just happy. i have been overweight all my life, but have went up and down also. :crying:i have doing jenny craig for a year and i am 5 pds heavier now then when i started. i just really wanted to stop the viciuos cycle of the yo-yo dieting. i am so happy and excited just writing this post makes me want to cry when i think of my wieght loss struggle. Weight loss is so dear to my heart because it has been the most challenging thing in my life. i wish you all the best on your surgery as well!!!
Kristen882 0 Posted February 4, 2009 my date is 2/16. i start my diet this w/e. 2 liquid shakes and 1 meal a day. i am very nervous/excited. i always have these crazy thoughts like "what if i am one of those people that doesn't lose any weight" anyone else ever think like that? good luck to everyone. You are not alone, I am so scared that I am going to fail. I know that I want this so bad though so I have to do it, failing is not an option! The fear is still there though...... Bjornsyouruncle 0 Posted February 4, 2009 The first couple days of the preop diet stink but you do eventually get used to it, I promise! I'm on week 3 of it and I barely notice it anymore.
