irochka 0 Posted January 10, 2009 Hi! My name is Irene and I am 25 years old. I was banded yesterday, January 9th by Dr. Bessler of NY Columbia/Presbyterian. The surgery went fine, or so I am told. My starting weight yesterday was 200.7, and my ultimate goal is to get down to 124. My doctors goals are a little higher, at 145 lbs. Well, we shall see. So far I have not experienced too much pain, but I am hungry! Is this normal? Right after surgery?

RestlessMonkey 7 Posted January 11, 2009 Hello and welcome! Some wake up hungry (I surely did!) some don't (lucky people!) Just follow your docs post op diet exactly and you'll be fine. A warning...it will get hard to do as you heal and feel better, but stay strong!
