derbin247 0 Posted January 12, 2009 Ya I totally get it about being scared. Just focus on the fact that the reason we have so many pre op tests is to make sure that the surgery will go smoothly. NCsQueen 0 Posted January 12, 2009 Actually for me I had just finished my psychological evaluation and it was right before New Years, and my doc. told me to wait about a week before contacting my surgeons office so that she could get her papers to them. derbin247 0 Posted January 12, 2009 oh wow that is soo cool! i cant wait. i am ready to go shopping and have not been because i know that i will be needing new clothes. i have a TON of clothes that i need to go through and get rid of buy now that i will be losing weight i have everything on hold. it is a good hold though :cursing:. so did you meet with the surgeon yet or are you still going to do that? any pre op diet or anything? whats your next step? I meet with my surgeon on Feb. 2 for the pre-surgery consult and that will be the last thing I do before my surgery! I don't know about the pre-op diet. I've been reading a lot on here that some have to do it and some don't. My older sister (she was banded Dec. 5) didnt' have to do a pre-op diet. I guess it just varies from person to person. I know the main reason for putting people on the pre-op diet is to shrink their liver to make it more easy to get to the stomach during surgery.
