teebee2575 0 Posted January 9, 2009 Hi- I recently found out that Gary Viscio passed away in July. I also found out that he never filed an appeal for me that was supposed to be done in November 2007. His website is shut down, phone disconnected and no one from the office ever notified me of his death. He had all my medical records and legal file. I am at a loss as to what to do now. My chances for a second appeal are lost. Is anyone else in a similiar situation or can offer some advice? Thanks
MacMadame 81 Posted January 9, 2009 I'm not in a similar situation, but I do know that Gary worked with the Obesity Law people so it's possible that his files were given to them. I think it would be worth contacting them and trying to find out where your records went.

conniebonnie 0 Posted March 23, 2009 Hi, Gary Viscio assured me that me filed an appeal on my behalf back in September 2005, even providing a fradulent certified mail receipt as proof. It was never filed. I submitted a grievance to the New York bar and they investigated and sanctioned him. I filed a lawsuit in September 2007 and I received a default judgment against him in 2007. He died before collection, so now I have a probate claim against his estate. I hate to insult the dead, but he was a hack that attempted a boilerplate operation and hurt people. I'm sure there are other claims, but it is difficult to uncover them. Anytime I would post on Obesity Help, they would be removed before any response could be received. I would appreciate talking to you to see if we could somehow galvanize a group effort. If you would like to talk further, please email me at csbechtolt@comcast. Anyone else reading this that has a potential claim, I would love to hear from you. Connie
