Who will be my angel?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Been gone for a while. I moved into temporary housing while they build our new house. My plastic surgery is scheduled this Wednesday. I am getting a little freaked out. I am having my medial thighplasty, Tummy Tuck and my eyes fixed as well as a mole removed. I will be in the hospital one or two days depending how I am doing. I have managed to stay cigarette free for 3 months, but I did gain about 10 pounds from my all time low which I have not been able to get off. I am having an unfill. I have been having some reflux problems late at night for no apparent reason. I do have restriction, it is not a slippage, but I would feel better with less restriction after the surgery. I dont want to worry about reflux in addition to healing etc. I missed you guys. I wont be coming to Vegas in September since I dont know how I will be doing by then. Does anyone want to be my angel? Let me know and I will send the hospital information.

I'll be your angel too, but It will be in spirit only, since the physical distance is too great to overcome right now.

You will do just fine, and you wil be just fine!

Angel from California here. I think you'll be fine. I'm sure you'll be sore, but that much is to be expected :P

PM me your hospital name and phone. Let me know the minute you know your room number, too. If I didn't have to work, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Good luck and speedy recovery! I'll volunteer to be a virtual angel, and I'm kinda close: in Denton! Maybe the healing vibes and prayers will be stronger? PM me if you need someone closer! ((hug)) Cindy

It looks like you need some Midwest prayer power coming your way, so I'll be your angel from Michigan! Good luck on your surgeries - you're an inspiration to all of us!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
