Let the countdown begin...yesterday I scheduled my surgery for plastics. I'm getting a lower body lift and breast lift with augmentation. The big day is April 14, 2009...7:30 am...first surgery of the day. I am so excited, yet scared as hell. I know that I'm going to be in some serious pain but I figured it will all be worth it. I never thought that this day would come. I never thought that I would look the way that I do now and I can't wait to have an end result. Yesterday was my second consultation. I went to see how much it would be to add on a breast lift. Well...if I just did a lift...I would go from a C cup to an A. Oh...hell no!!! That goes to show you that it's all sagging skin (GROSS). Anyway...the butterflies in my stomach have already arrived. Anyone out there have these procedures done at the same time? How was your recovery? Give me all the details.

Good Luck to you Tina!

Congratulations on your sucess and keep us updated on your progress. I would be both excited and nervous.

I am not there yet but I think that I will need to have PS too. My stomach and upper thighs are pretty jiggly and I would also like a breast lift. My upper arms are getting better so maybe they will snap back OK.

I was wondering about the cost, it looks like we are both in the DC metro area could you let me know how much your doctor charges for your procedure?

Just three short months from yesterday and I go under the knife...I'm nervous as hell and excited!!!

About the breast lift...that's what I initially went in there for with my second consultation. Let's just say that by just doing a lift, it took me from a C cup to an A. I cannot have that. So....I'm getting the lift with implants. I want to remain the same size that I am...a C but I want a full C...not a skin filled bra C cup.

OH MY GOD...less than six weeks away. I cannot wait to get this crap off of my midsection and get me some real (fake) boobs. I am gonna be rocking my new body for the summer and I can't wait. How can I make this time go by quicker?

Tina,

You, me and OH Juli are all having body lifts at around the same time. I'm actually first cab off the rank with surgery on the 2nd of April, so I'm right there with you on the butterflies in the tummy!

I'm not having a BA though. Despite the crap skin on my stomache and hips, my girls have come through my weight loss relatively okay. I've gone from a DD cup to a D and they're pretty good still for having breastfed 4 kids!

How are you going for preparations? When is your bloodwork? Have you been measured up for your compression garment yet?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
