I went this week to my first meeting about the LapBand. I sent in the extensive history form and have read all the info. I am ready to get this underway. I see my primary physician this week, and hope to set up an appointment with the surgeons Clinical Nutritionist. I am really going to do this. Any words of support or encouragement? Any advice you all wish you had known when you started? Let me in on your experiences. Thanks. :nervous

Lorie,

ONLY thing I regret.... not doing it sooner!

Time seems to be creeping along - but actually it will go by with jet speed. Your surgery is gonna be here before you know it. Just have consolation in knowing you are "working on it".

Good luck, I hope things move quickly for you. I am still counting the days until my seminar on Aug. 13th-I can't wait!

I just had surgery one week ago and I have no regrets I am thrilled to have this weight loss tool. Are you going with self-pay or insurance? I had an unusual situation occur in that area so if you are going with insurance just make sure you have everything squared away before you have the surgery. Good luck to you!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
