bran3fan 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Hello everyone! I am new to this whole LAP-BAND® thing. I recently started the process with my insurance company to have the lap bad procedure. I am so excited. I must complete some obstacles before I can have the procedure, but I am committed to moving forward. I am in Georgia and am also looking for a great surgeon at EmoryJohnsCreek, so if any of you know a good one I will gladly take all your recommendations. I have wanted and tried to have a procedure for quite a while but my insurance did not offer the coverage until this year. I hope to jump through the hoops they are laying in front of me and get this done by August. It will take some time but I hope it will be well worth it. I am planning on using Emory Johns Creek and Dr. Christopher Hart. Have you ever heard of him? I have been researching the surgeons that are available to me. He seems to be very competent. I am planning to use Peachtree Bariatrics (Dr Titus Duncan)..went to the seminar on saturday and have md clearance appts for the next 2-3 weeks(medical,psych and cardiology)...hope to be banded by June...good luck to you!!!
