Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I was banded on 09/30/2008 and have lost 25 lbs so far. I lost most of it within the first 8 weeks post banding. I had another fill yesterday so hopefully the weight loss will start to kick in again.

As you might have noticed by "skinnyby40" that was my goal. Unfortunately, I might have to extend that to 40 and a half or 41 since I turn forty the 27th of this month! I wish everyone the best of luck on your weightloss journey!!!

Hi there and welcome to LBT. You are doing great thus far. Sorry about missing the 40 goal, but what is important is how healthy you will be for all your future birthdays, and that you will probably have many more of them now!

I have no regrets so far. I wish I had done this a year ago. I turn 40 on the 27th of this month and I am looking forward to more weight loss in the months to come. I would like to be much more active in my 40's.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
