Tray 0 Posted January 5, 2009 Hello! I'm a 42 y/o stay at home mom to 3 girls ages 13,4, and 2. I'm 5'7" and I believe I weigh about 295 (maybe more). I don't get on the scale except at the Dr's office. I've contemplated this surgery for quite some time, but didn't think it could happen for financial reasons. After lurking around here a bit I started realizing the health insurance we got a year ago might actually cover the surgery. I've enrolled on-line for a seminar on 2/11/08. This is the soonest one I could find for the surgeons that are considered "in-network". I look forward to getting to know ya'll!
Jewels68 0 Posted January 5, 2009 Good luck. After 15 years my hubby switched companies. First thing I did was call the insurance company to ask if Lap Band was covered. When they said yes, I was bounching off the walls. Aug. 28th was my first appt. went through 3 months special diet/walking (for insurance) Nov. 26th had my surgery. I would do it again in a heart beat!!!
