nopleazn 0 Posted January 5, 2009 This may be a dumb question but my BMI is 39.5 and I was wondering if anyone here can tell me what I can do to make my BMI an even 40 or above? Any tricks or trades??
redmom 0 Posted January 5, 2009 I found this out by accident. Eat something salty, like lots of lots of potato chips. You will retain Water like crazy. I'm not recommending this, but I did it unintentionally.
EmeraldCoastPhotog 0 Posted January 5, 2009 If you can get away with it, just tell them you are shorter than you are or if the doctor measures you at the office, don't stand up straight.

Aggie98 0 Posted January 5, 2009 I ate a HUGE lunch before my initial appointment at the surgeon's office. I was still just under, so the medical tech had me weigh again with my coat and purse on! Bingo... 40.5 BMI!
LoveDK 0 Posted January 5, 2009 If you have medical problems, such as diabetes, hypertension etc.. then it is OK that your BMI is under 40. My mother's was 35, and she had a few issues to go along with it and she was immediately approved. My BMI was 42, and I am realitively healthy..Just 249lbs. I had super high bp during my pregnancy, but I was approved immediately as well. Good luck, I wouldn't worry about it, but if you need to binge on carbs and sodium..go for it, haha. Good luck doll!
