Carrie_C 9 Posted January 4, 2009 Please tell me I'm not the only one with this. Is there anyway to get rid of it? It is really gross.
bubbles09 1 Posted January 4, 2009 I hear you, sister! I'd love to wear sleeveless shirts with confidence. I don't know if free weights will help, focusing on that area...but it won't hurt trying.
Jachut 487 Posted January 4, 2009 Ack! I have the thinnnest arms, the shape of my upper body, arms and shoulders in particular, I couldnt be happier with. Definitely my best feature and if I'm being horribly vain but objective, they're really nicely shaped. But catch them in the right light and yep, there's arm cellulite there. You've got to see it from the right angle, but its there. I. Freaking. Hate. Cellulite. I have tons of it on my backside. Its disgusting.
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted January 7, 2009 My arms are gross. I do all sorts of weight training for my triceps and there is muscle in there, but the hanging skin is in the way of the muscle showing. I won't wear short sleeves unless it's over 100 outside and that is very rare!
travelinsnorkel 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Yep...I've got it...lovely isn't it? And I work out and tone a lot! I haven't lost a lot of weight yet, but it seems like that is hard to loose!
Carrie_C 9 Posted January 7, 2009 Mine actually seems to be getting worse as I lose weight!
Jachut 487 Posted January 7, 2009 My cellulite got a lot worse for a while there, as I lost. But dont panic, as you get to the pointy end of your weight loss, it does begin to disappear. As the fat goes, so does the cellulite, eventually. But you'll be left with some, all women have it. I think its important to try to remain realistic about your body. Look around you, how many people are perfect? Do you hate your best friend because she has cellulite? Do you spend a lot of time thinking about how disgusting your mother's backside is? Do you find your husband unattractive becuase he has a wart on his hand? probably not. We're so darn hard on ourselves, we want physical perfection and it just doesnt exist. Other people do not care about, or even notice our flaws and if you had none, people would probably hate you and think you were a stuck up bitch.
Carrie_C 9 Posted January 7, 2009 Yea, you are right. I am just really vain! I would love to wear some tank tops this summer!!
Jachut 487 Posted January 8, 2009 Then go ahead and do it. Do you really think God made you ten times uglier than everyone else? You will be fine. Its really scary the first time you put yourself out there. I couldnt have felt more naked the first time I went on the beach in a bikini if I really WAS naked. It was excruciating to be honest. But once you get used to the feeling and once you realise nobody is going to fall over vomiting and that you dont stand out for your hideous deformities, you start to get a little confidence. This step is a BIG one in your journey. And a little fake tan goes a LOOOOOOOOONG way.
Carrie_C 9 Posted January 8, 2009 You are so right! I will probably have lost a lot more weight by summer anyway so maybe I won't be as worried about it.
aubrie 6 Posted January 8, 2009 Yup. I've got them. Look like mud flaps on a pick up truck!! I have loose skin everywhere. boobs, legs, tummy and arms. I can shove the boobs into a padded push up bra and put them back in the right place. I can wear skirts or slacks to hide the thighs. I can wear a tummy control panty for the tummy, but it's hot as hell here in south Texas, and wearing sleeves in the summer is awful. If I have ANY plastic surgery, it will definately be on my arms first. Jachut is right. The lumpiness does get a little better as time goes by, but the flaps are still there!! Yippee!!! Carrie_C 9 Posted January 9, 2009 I hear you, I live in Tennesse and it gets very hot here as well.
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted January 10, 2009 I am lucky that I don't live somewhere that gets very warm. Even when I go to Arizona to visit my dad, I will wear tshirts with short sleeves, but they cover my bat wings for the most part. I don't think I would ever be comfortable enough to wear a tank top.
