Anyone going to Michigan Women's Festival

Recommended Posts

It's time to start planning ladies :tt2: Mich Fest 2009 will be here in only 7(ish) short months...are you going? I just sent off my application to work the festival. If you're short of funds, working for the festival is a great way to get in free and a great way to make new friends.

Shall we all meet at the festival, strip off our tops, and proudly walk about with our lap band scars exposed or maybe we could all do body painting on our bellies that somehow incorporate all those little scars  It could be fun!

Hey there! 4 weeks to go and we will be on the land!!!! I've been thinking long and hard about what kinds of Protein foods to bring. I'm probably obsessing over nothing.

I definately want to do the breast casting this year and compair it to my one from 2 years ago. We will be in Dart Downtown (Ann and Rose) We are also doing a Fairy House workshop. Should be fun. I'd love to be in a gathering of all banded women and share stories and chat.

Support groups are great, I can only imagine a MWMF support group would be out of this world!!!

See you there

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
