It was so pretty this morning

Recommended Posts

I jumped on my Harley and went riding. I just got home, and it was so neat, just riding out there by myself. (DH working ;) ) I decided to just treat myself to a nice day today. Now I am going to go out to the pool and relax some more. I have been working way too hard the last few weeks!

Sounds nice--enjoy. We are going camping on the river this weekend. I plan to enjoy also-- except there will be 8 kids and husbands there. LOL. Wine should cure any stress though.

I am with you on the Wine Heather.

I am treating my self to a nice long lunch today with my mom & sister downtown while listening to a Tex-Mex Band. Then I will come back to reality (work)..

Betty the more I look at Motorcyle Riders I see how free it is to have the wind in your hair.. I bet it was great

Sounds great to me! I got caught in another incredible storm yesterday, and the weather calls for thunder & lightening all weekend. Betty, hubby will have jelly in his belly that you have nice weather!

My hubby will have jelly in his belly too when he comes home tired and hot and I have been riding and swimming! ;):):D It was just perfect for riding this morning, so I couldn't help it.

Lisa are you supposed to get storms all weekend? It is supposed to be nice, but hot this weekend. We'll go riding, but it will be early before it gets too hot.

Isn't it fun to take some time in the middle of a week and "play". Last week it was over 100 here for 3 days, I had to add Water to the pool to cool it down, LOL

Husband just bought a Harley. it is nice to be able to fit on the back comfortably. We live where it is wide open just a few miles out of town, and own a bar 40 miles out of town so we get to ride out there every week. found out Wed. that 17 bottles of Crown, ECT really is heavy in the saddle bags. but how beautiful to ride 3 miles and be in the wide open with such great views. wish I could go every day, alittle sore on the thighs tho>

Hey Betty,

Sometimes life gets so busy that we need some "alone" time - bet you enjoyed it!

Do you know if we are gonna make plans for another Galveston (or wherever) Bash? Hope so.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
