Saturday and Sunday- nothing

Today-

5 miles on treadmill (ran the first 3.5 miles and did intervals for the rest)

30 minutes strength training (arms)

DH is going to the gym tonight, so I will probably end up going with him and doing some sort of cardio again (probably either walking or stairmaster)

Lol, I modified the outdoor circuit today - I did my squats, lunges and 300 metre runs with Eliza on my back - she's about 50lb give or take and six so old enough to hang on.

I did less, naturally, it was quite intense to say the least.

Whew. I cant afford a personal trainer, but where there's a will there's a way hey?

its going to be above 40 degrees celcius here for the next four days - I was lucky to get in this morning before it started heating up but it wont be so cool tomorrow morning. I think I'll be running on my treadmill and/or maybe do a step or spin class or two at the gym for the next few days as its not even supposed to cool down below 25 degrees overnight.

6 miles last night

Weight lifting and spin class this morning

Jachut -- sounds like Bikini Weather!

For Americans 40c = 104F (its the Bristish coming out in me)

You could come to Wisconsin..Its -40F which is -40C (thats when the two scales cross over)

Monday - 15 min treadmill, 15 min lower body strength, 30 min elliptical.

I must learn to be more assertive at the gym in the strength training area - all I have to do is say "Can I work in with you?" but I keep either lurking or skipping machines altogether. Bad habit.

Today - no gym - I have a meeting this evening. Thought I'd try the Wii Fit aerobics again instead.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
