Who's getting banded on January 13th?

Thanks guys for all the good words!

Baylee, I know how you feel about your puppy. I have 3 dogs and a cat (The cat is King:lol:). I hope everything turns out okay.

It is great getting into a few smaller things I had in the back of my closet. Best thing though is when I flew to DC last week for work I didn't feel so self-conscious. It will feel even better when I can sit in the middle seat and not have to do contortions to keep from infringing onto the other people's seat.

Keep up the good work guys and don't forget to eat your Protein and drink your Water.

OK, so I'm wearing a suit today that fit me the last time I wore it and now hangs on me! I didn't have enough time this morning to get something else to wear, so I'm wearing a baggy suit. I guess I should be pleased, but I look kind of weird. WIll have to go shopping. Oh darn!

Hello everyone,

I have been so busy, with us only having one car cause the van broke down just after inspection UGH!! anyway, I have been doing very well, No problems and can't wait for a fill. I really try hard to limit myself and exercise my but off. But there are days I am so darn hungry and want to eat more than I should. So I put myself to work at home or get on the treadmill. I joined the YMCA (family plan)and have went only one time that would be the best place for me to go when I am hungry no food around and I feel good when I am done. because our van broke down I just can't get in the van and go. I am hoping that my fiance and I can go together tonight.

Hope everyone is well !

Hey! Glad everyone is doing well...

I love to hear the clothes stories!! It is really exciting isn't it!?

I am down 16lbs and get my fill on Thursday. I can't wait to get this first one over with. I can fill the port through my skin so that makes me feel confident that there won't be to much poking and prodding. The needle does not bother me since I have been giving myself shots for years! My excercise has suffered the last two days since the weather had to turn terrible again. This is also putting my drive to Denver in jeopardy, but my DH says we will get there.

I have a totally non WLS question...How do you get the little tickers at the bottom of your posts? I went to the tickerfactory web site and created one, but I just can't seem to get it in my signature...It is probably the easiest thing in the world - but I just can't get it:tongue_smilie:

Amy--I have the same question about the ticker thingy--I also have one, but haven't figured out how to post it here.

I am wearing a suit today that I haven't worn in 3 years! It's a size 20. I was wearing size 22 and 24 suits when I went in for surgery. When I got dressed this morning, my husband said, "Is that new?" I reminded him it's been hanging in the closet for 3 years and I haven't been able to wear it. He then remembered it and congratulated me. I have several size 20 suits, so it'll be like having all new clothes!

My school nurse asked me yesterday if I'm losing weight. As you know--no one at work knows I had WLS. So I said, "Yes, maybe a few pounds." She said, "Looks like more than a few pounds to me. Are you on a plan?" So I just said, "Well, I'm sort of trying to do a modified Weight Watchers, but nothing really specific. I did have a new year's resolution to try and get a bit healthier." I'm just trying to down play the whole thing, but it's nice that people are noticing. She said I look really good and I thanked her. Hang in there, ladies--we're going to have to start getting used to all those compliments about our shrinking bodies!

That is just awesome. Down 2 sizes:thumbup:

I bet more people are noticing your loss but not saying anything. Especially when you start wearing "new" clothes! It is always a great motivator for me when I get a compliment.

WOW a size 20  Congrats Adamsmom... I have no clue how to post the ticker either but mine would change everyday. Up and down on the SAME 3lbs. I know we can do this if we just stay on track the weight will come off.

Well, I am ready to go to the Dr. tomorrow. I have been very uncomfortable the last two days, almost like right after surgery. I feel bloated and one of my incisions is very sore.

Adamsmom - Great news - Great Feeling!

One of the guys that works for me said that he didn't want to be offensive but that he could tell that I had lost weight, and I told him it is NEVER offensive to tell a lady she looks like she has lost weight!:crying:

Your question about how do yu get the tickers?

Go to the tickers web site copy and paste and then you log into ladband and in the upper right corner click private messages. then on the left hand side of your screen scroll down till you see signature options then click on that and you will then paste it in the edit signature part. you can review it by looking at the top box where you just paseted and copied in the signature box. Hope i explained it ok.

Friends, I am a little nervous. I am REALLY uncomfortable. I have a constant ache. I have had it since yesterday afternoon. It came on so I ate mushies for lunch. The pain seemed to subside a little then came back on last night. I did take one of my pills uncrushed last night and now I am wondering if it is stuck which makes me worry about slippage and prolapse. I have been trying to drink Water at a steady pace. I just don't know:frown:

I ate 1/2 a sandwich on toasted bread and I think it was the bread. I had bought some really nice (maybe I dont think so nice anymore) whole grain bread and I think even with the toasting, chewing, etc. it was just too much. I don't think it would make me bloated, but since the preop that is only the second time I have had bread. I am feeling better tonight. I used some gas strips and just sipped on crystal light with Protein. I am headed to Denver in the morning for my fill and of course a snow storm has hit:angry: I will post as soon as I get back and let you all know how it goes!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
