dewy3 0 Posted December 30, 2008 I just wanted to say hello from Olympia Washington. I am just starting the process. I was just accepted into my insurances "Bariatric Surgery Case Management Program. I have received a checklist of things to do and get started. I am going to my first support group a week from this Thursday. I am so looking forward to getting the ball rolling so to speak. I know as I get things done and checked off the checklist I will have a ton of questions. How long did it take most people to get it all going and actually get the surgery done? Thanks Cherryl Rochester, Washington
LilMissDiva Irene 3,282 Posted December 30, 2008 Hi Cheryl! From the time I mentioned to PCP that I was interested in the Lap Band to the actual surgery date, it was just over a year's time. I had to go through six months of the dietician appointments, then many more with my surgeon and pre-ops. It was all worth it... and will continue to be as long as I stay on the plan. It's no easy quick fix, but if you are ready to change you life, the Lap Band will help you! BEST WISHES!!
