I went to the Drs today for my post-op check and they gave me samples of these Vitamins. I guess they contain everything necessary in one chewable instead of taking several multiple vitamins, I ordered some when I got home, they tasted good, and I'm sure are more suitable for what I need than the kids chewables I've been taking!

Anyone else tried them?

My Dr. office offered those vitamens and I passed on them. I went with Centrum silver instead just because they are chewable. They are about $11 for 60, I still have to take a Calcium supplement, Iron and B12. However, at my Dr office they said that I would have to take all of those supplements if I was using their bariatric vitamens. I just had my follow up yesterday and all of my levels were great so my the Centrum silver must be working. Good luck with yours.

Bariatric fusion is alright. Check out Bariatric Advantage. I did a side by side comparisons of some of the different Vitamins and Bariatric Advantage has more nutritional value, they also send out samples for free just call em and let them know. Thats how I got my samples. Its a 7 day supply.

Bariatric Advantage - Nutritional supplements, Vitamins, Proteins, and Help for Gastric Bypass, Distal, Lap Band, Realize, Stomaphyx and Duodenal Switch Surgery Patients check them out,

I use Spectravite chewables from CVS. They are cheap, taste good and meet my nutritional needs.

Amazingly enough, my obstetrition said they were also sufficient for prenatal Vitamins as long as I have a folic acid supplement as well . . . so for me they are working as a regular Vitamin, bariatric Vitamin and prenatal vitamin and are still cheap and taste good with none of those icky vitamin burps or queasiness.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
