Guest jem233 Posted August 7, 2005 Your lucky lol, I have been trying to have mine approved through Anthem for almost a year now. I even had Inamed appeal twice for me and they finally decided to pay for lapbands but my BMI had to be lower than 50 which I am a 62.

brneyezz 0 Posted August 14, 2005 I have BC/BS of Illinois, they came back telling me they need a year of medically supervised visits, don't have 12 months consecutive, sent what I had, wrote a letter, my pcp wrote a letter and still waiting. I truly know they will deny me and I don't know what I will do, I will be heartbroken. I can apply again once I have the 12 months i guess.
CATHY1102 0 Posted August 14, 2005 HI Beth; Oh I am so sorry. That is what I am afraid of. I have been on every diet, including the dangerous drug Phenfen, and been to so many diet places, but never documented for a yr. I think that is so ridiculous. If you fail with dieting, most people do not try for a whole yr. I wish you all the best. And I am still waiting and praying. thank you. cathy
