Rock on naked bandsters.

I'm on day two as well. Feeling less of a call for the sugar and other bad for me things.

w00t. I ran yesterday too eventhough my iPod was dead. It's charged now and I'm running again this afternoon!

The thought of me weighing naked has people at the Y running for the hills (i.e. pecan orchards)...lol...I haven't been on the scales for a while...I'm scared (after weighing in 2-3x a day - which it was going in the right direction).

I'm going to weigh next week though - after my full week is up...then post...I probably lost 5 pounds in Water weight alone. OMG...my bladdar was on hyper-mode. Feel great today though!

I am starting liquids today. I have been so depressed that I have gained 11 lbs. I have been walking on the treadmill for 35 minutes everyday since Saturday, but I have been eating wrong. I am really glad to know that I am not alone. I have felt like a failure. Thanks for starting this thread and getting me motivated.

I am a certified scale addict, so I weigh every time I go to the bathroom at home (I haven't figured out a way to get a scale into work without someone else seeing it). I am down 2 pounds since Friday (finally) so I am motivated to keep going. I second that toast! Here is to us! Forget waiting for Thursday.

My name is Heather and I am also a certified scale addict, lol. I swear I will weigh myself both before and after using the bathroom . . . first thing in the morning, last thing at night and sporadically during the day.

It is really too bad they don't make a shoe scale so you can stand on one foot and know where you are at a moments notice anywhere and everywhere, lol. If they put the read out on the bottom of your shoe, it might even improve the flexibility of the wearer, lol.

So now that you have come up with the great idea, you need to make that and patent it. I would be the first one in line to buy it.

Hi Girlz,

I'm posting so I can subscribe to the thread and keep watch! I plan on starting this weekend so I can cook some Soups and such...I detest any kind of Protein Drinks. I think this is what I need to give me a kick in the ass.

Good luck to all of you!! :-)

Thanks BBK!

Count me in!! I have a dilated esophagus and can't have a fill for another 10 days so I'm on liquid and Soup. You want to talk about a wild pig. I ate and grazed like I hadn't eaten in 5 years.

Positive thoughts bring positive outcomes!!

Let's do it!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
