bethm 0 Posted December 27, 2008 Hi! Had surgery on December 11th.. (16 days ago). Nothing really remarkable has happened. But today any time I "eat" (mushies and right now pureed french onion soup) I get this tingly feeling between my shoulderblades. Anyone else get this? It's kinda weird. It's mostly right inside my left shoulderblade.
molinomama 0 Posted December 27, 2008 That is the same place I had my gas pain the first few days after surgery, it was initally very intense, but has become just tingly and I just got it again after having my broth tonight. I am assuming it is gas from eating. Did you have gas pain right after surgery?
bethm 0 Posted December 27, 2008 Nope..no gas pain at all and this is weird.. it's uncomfortable not painful.
stylist43 0 Posted December 27, 2008 the tingling between the shoulder blades sounds like what my doctor told me expect with gas. When I met with one of the nurses for a pre-op class she showed me this picture of how they get rid of gas at the hospital just in case they needed to do it to me while i was still out of it. they make you lay on your belly and keep your head and shoulders down and put your backside in the air....lol i can't imagine how it looks, but i guess it's supposed to work!
