Help - bad reaction

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I had my op in July and had my third band fill earlier this week. I had a little bit of cheese with some guacamole for lunch today and have been suffering with terrible vomiting for the last three or so hours and it shows no sign of subsiding. I have reactions like this but they only ever go on for ten or fifteen minutes. No idea what the problem is but I'm not feeling any better. Not really bringing up any food, just slime but it doesn't seem like it's going to stop!

Any ideas much appreciated,

thanks x

That's not a reaction that's sliming ! Or your too tight.

The "reaction "is being stuck . You are either not eating the right things, meaning eating things that your band does not like, your not chewing properly , taking too big of bites .

Since you just had a fill you might be too tight.

cheese, just a piece of cheese , i cant eat , i will get stuck every time.

YOu might want to call your doc , you may need to get in for a slight unfill

Mindy

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
