I was banded on Sept 17th and lost 70lbs so far(lots of cardio and weights) anyway, does anybody else have a problem itchy skin where there is stretch marks. I will scratch until I bleed. I am not sure if it is because of the skin trying to shrink, but it is driving me crazy. Am I the only one

murphmannn!!!!!!! Keep up the good work! Your hard work is really paying off and you're a true example of what is possible when you combine the band WITH lots of tough exercise! WTG!

I try to keep well-lotioned up and that has kept the itching at bay for me. Good luck.

Brad

I had a problem for about 2-3 weeks after surgery with itching on my legs and I did not realize how much I was itching until I started to bleed. My has subsided and the only time they itch is usually right after i get done walking about 2-3 miles.. I just make sure to keep lotion on the areas that bother me and that seems to help.. Good Luck and Good work

I have a similar problem with one of my legs but is near a small patch of spider veins on my leg. The hospital told me that it was from tiny little veins breaking. They said it was nothing to worry about and that it was just from being on my feet all day at work.

Don't worry, there are lots of crazy people here including myself, you're not the only one, lol.

It could possibly be a slight allergy but most likely it might just be dry skin, especially if you don't see any kind of rash. Lotion should definitely help it.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
