KayVee 0 Posted December 15, 2008 I need your help! I'm going to a support group Christmas gathering tonight and appetizers are requested. I"m in the pre op phase and not on any diet restrictions yet. What would be a conservative treat that all could enjoy? There will be all ranges of people there, pre-ops, recent bandees and veteran banders. I know I can't please all, but would like to get it partially right! Thanks for any help! LSF 264 Posted December 16, 2008 At my post-op meeting, one of the girls had made mini pies (individual sizes) and on top of the pie crust was FF pudding blended with FF cool whip. It was delicious and easy to digest no matter what phase post-op everyone was at.
CynthiaMcC 0 Posted December 16, 2008 A few ideas ... make a bean dip with fat-free refried Beans ... good source of Protein. Another option would be skim milk ricotta mixed with some finely chopped fresh herbs and black pepper. You can serve either with crackers, as I recall, one of my early solid foods were crackers that had less than 3 grams of fat per serving. And, if someone is still on mushies, they can spoon some on a plate and eat it straight.
