dating and a new sex partner! well maybe

Recommended Posts

ok so I am dating a new guy, I've not been with anyone other than my recent ex since my surgery. I am a little nervous about it but I really like the guy and he's so totally hot!!!! I am just wondering how people have dealt with changing partners and adjusting to someone new

It's all about confidence. Love your 'new' body, and rock it! If you feel beautiful, you'll look beautiful, and that will outshine everything else.

update....so the sex is good...but whoever said the way to get over a man is to get under another or in my case on top of another lol was way wrong.....I hate being all emotional...but I guess I will have to deal with it and continue to progess in my new relationship :tongue_smilie:

If you're not ready yet, take it slow. There is no magic recipe for relationships. Just be gentle with yourself. If this guy is as awesome as you say, he'll give you all the time and space you need. Maybe hang out with other couples for a while until you become more at ease with the whole thing. There's no rush. Start thinking...... What do I need for closure? Then pursue that.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
