See, this little cocked head thing with those innocent eyes is why my dogs are spoiled rotten. She's a little pink-nosed angel (she needs pink toe nails.)

As my dog gets older and older, I find myself drawn more and more to old dogs. Yeah, I know, weird. Driving my son to his girlfriend's house, we passed a couple that was out walking their very old setter. (not as old as my Astro though) I got misty eyed, and made my son laugh.

Thank you !!

She really is my pride and joy, other than my daugher of course :)

Paula good idea about the avitar! just looking at the one I have now makes me more nervous roflmfao !!

Cindy, she has lovely colors, except when I'm wearing black :)

DeLarla she is the biggest whimp when it comes to me touching her paws. When I cut her nails, I almost have to sit on her LOL, poor thing (some times she pee's on herself lol). I can't imagine painting them although I have though about it before.

Vines, Astro is a great name for a dog. I love old dogs too but puppies just melt my heart. I sware if I didn't have to work, I would have 10 dogs (and probably no husband LOL).

Christina, sorry you lost your pup. Its never easy because they are more than just a pet, they become family members. My Susie goes for a 1 - 2 mile walk every morning with DH, then she comes home, has Breakfast and is really treated like one of us. I mean if we go out for ice cream guess who's in the car getting her very own cone lol.

Have you thought about getting a new friend?

Thanks NJ. I know exactly what you are talking about. If you would like to read a little about my sweetie go to this link on LBT.

Its too soon to have a new furry friend for me- I will be doing too much travel coming up & need to secure a new job before I settle down again with a new friend. Next time I hope to get two boxers at the same time or at least within 6 months of eachother. We have doggie icecream treats at our local icecream stores also, they place dog biscuts around the icecream like a sundae. Some even take photos & place them up all summer long- too much fun!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
