SuzanneG 1 Posted December 11, 2008 I found dual control blankets but not for a double bed, smallest I could find was for a Queen bed. I think I'll have to do the single idea. The other night when we folded the covers back, it felt like we opened the refrigerator door. Brrrrr And to think I keep my house at 70 degrees at night. kgloverii 0 Posted December 12, 2008 My dh refered to me as a polar bear in the past, now I am cold all of the time! It is crazy how cold I am. Oh well, at least I can throw on a sweatshirt and warm up at home. My classroom is always about 90+ so no worries there. LOL on the polar bear... my DH has called me 'polar bear' for the last eight years. He's got to retrain himself now cause I am ALWAYS FREEZING. LOL
Annabell1 0 Posted December 12, 2008 I am cold all the time too. I thought I might be anemic. I have never been cold and I was small until I was 34 years old. Big for about 11 years. I am going to bring it up to my doctor when I go back. I take my Vitamins but not twice a day. It is hard to remember.
thicknthin 0 Posted December 12, 2008 OMG!! I thought I was becoming deficient in something. I've been cold EVERYDAY at work. I keep my heater on at home now, and I'm constantly in a sweater. I usually would parade around in a tshirt during the winter, but now....I have on a sweater and the biggest coat I can find. My supervisor noticed my struggling to warm up and informed me that when he was losing weight (not by surgery, but just by running and exercising) he was freezing during his 20 pound loss. So it's not related to the surgery itself. But the excess weight coming off has a lot to do with it. So I have to look at it this way, me being cold is a sign that I haven't gained any insulation to warm me up.
lonestar5212 0 Posted December 12, 2008 When I lived in Florida for ten years and was hot and sweaty, I complained constantly and could not believe anyone would want to retire and move there. Well, here I am 18 years later in Dallas and freezing!!!! I can only long for the hot and humid days in Tampa!!!
