Is this normal?

Hello all. I was banded on Monday, Dec 8 and I'm having some concerns. When I get on the scale every morning, I go up a pound or two? Is this normal?

Hi Congrats on being banded!! Weight will fluctuate but u have to understand the 1st 6 weeks are the healing process not the losing weight process...u probably will lose being on liquids but once u switch to mushies, soft and then solids ull gain a little dont get upset...the most weight loss will start once u get ur fills...rest up for the next 6 weeks and enjoy the new you...good luck

Congrats on the band.

First: don't weigh yourself every morning,

second: walk walk walk,

and third: make sure you are drinking all you can of Water.

You WILL lose just give it time to heal. I wish you all the luck and hope you feel better as time goes on.

They give you TONS of IV fluids during surgery and after the surgery. They Fluid actually goes into your tissue and often can take up to 2 weeks for you body to reabsorb it. So you have to kind of deflate before you can get an accurate weight.
