Art work and their artists

Recommended Posts

My wife calls me the jack of all trades, master of none.

I remodel my home. I love interior design, and was a carpenter in a former life, so I get into it pretty deeply.

Also, been getting into the world of filmmaking.

I am one of the producers, actor, and scriptwriter. I am also coordinating the sound, music and special effects. It started on a sort of a lark, but we now have a professional composer and a professional CGI team from LA on the job, and it looks pretty good. Currently we are doing post-work on a trailer for the series, but will be filming my script for the first episode in the spring. I hope to be in a bit better shape by then!

When I was 17 my family and I went to Disneyworld and made a StarTrek film while there. It was so much fun!!!!

Good luck to you and everyone involved. That has got to be the most fun thing ever to be doing!

Beautiful hands. I love them. I did a sketch of hands one time in High School. The picture is 36 x 40 I think. Too big to scan but I will take a pic and post it in the next week.

I also mentioned earlier that I do jewelry making. Here is a sample of my work.

Thank you Penni. I always thought it would be fun to make jewelry. Your creation is beautiful. Do you ever sale your jewelry?

I forgot to mention on my last post that those are all studies, the one with the multiple hands are actually my husband's hand. Here is one more drawing study (the first attachment) and the rest are photographs I took, they are studies as well, except for the last one which is a landscape.

Wow...talent galore around here!

I'm not an artist, but I can share a song for my artwork. If you visit my band's website, "Poor Baker's Dozen", you can listen to some clips of songs I've written for them. Keep up the good work, ya'll!

Very cool SuperDaddy! Oh, how I always wanted to be musically inclined.....never happened, haha. The fact that everyone has different talents is one of the reasons people are so wonderful to get to know. Best of luck with your band!....and ...well...your 'band'.....(couldn't resist).

Art?! Did someone say art? I haven't had time to do much art in a while, but I used to do quite a bit. Majord in it for 3 years before switching. Never took many pictures though. I love drawing, dabble in painting (mostly full wall murals), and recently bought some oils to try painting (I've only used acrylics and watercolor, and ink). Occasionally some ceramics or sculpture. I love photography and have a darkroom setup. I own/run a web design business in my "spare" time outside of my regular 8-5 job, and do most of the graphic design for it. I also do interior design consulting, which I do consider an art - it's built so much on color theory and composition.

My online photography album is on my husbnd's webserver, which crashed yesterday. But I did find some pics of older pictures. The candle is one of the first pictures I really spent any time on, I think I was 14 when I drew it. My parents have it in their house. The sunflowers was my first attempt at drawing with oils, also at my parents' house (I don't hang my own art in my house).

I also do quite a bit of Flash design/development, both for work and for my company.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
