if you do diet pills whats the purpose of the band theres no need for pi;;s if you do what your suppose you lose it slower but you still lose

I do what I am suppose to, I stick to the diet but there are days when I just stay hungry. I thought maybe taking something would help with that.

I have read threads on this forum in which people do take diet pills with the band. You can do a thread search with the topic "Diet Pills".

I was on phen phen years ago and the phen and so many others. I personally, want to stay away from diet pills and the possible heart complications sometimes associated to them.

The band is supposed to provide lasting weight loss, but pills are just "interim". You aren't going to take the pills forever; the ones on the market today aren't formulated or indicated for long-term use. If you are truly physiologically hungry because you don't have restriction, just be patient and give it time; it will work for you. If you are feeling "head" hunger, you need to find a long-term way to deal with it; perhaps some meetings with a therapist would help.

My view is that you should try your hardest to not take diet pills, stay natural, and talk to your doc about your hunger. I am hungry the week before my monthly friend (sorry guys) and do my best to not overeat. Just remember why you are where you are and how great you look and feel when you step on the scale and lose weight.

Good Luck and just say "NO" to diet pills

"Die"t pills that word isn't even good.

Take Care,

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
