ok - going to sound like the lush here , anyway - i love cherry limeades. in the summer i take a carafe of vodka & ice - squeeze LOTS of limes and throw in handfuls of cherries.

my adult version of sonic's drink..LOL

Missin' Sonic... Then again, it's probably best we don't have them. Never really liked the food (except the tater tots), but yeah, the drinks in the summer... I would get the orange ice cream slush with extra orange. Tasted just like a dreamsicle.

Also miss Jack In the Box's ultimate cheeseburger. Again, probably a good thing these days.

Not everybody's a racist that is called one. It's simply one of the newest buzz words used to intimidate and cow people.

I believe that everyone is but that there are varying degrees....1% vs. 99%.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

I watched how the left used the racism argument to say if you didn't vote for the Bama, it was because you were a racist. That was the newest form of intimidation and shame tactics via "white guilt" by using the race card.

No, it's just that some of us aren't liberals and won't vote for one regardless of race, gender, creed, color, or sexual orientation.

You lost '08, let it go. And PS-Obama never used the race card.

:tongue_smilie: Thanks, Lulu!!!

Ah, well, being perfect all the time is no fun. :tongue_smilie: And I love the beverage.

I made peppermint bark today and made another batch with cashews instead of peppermint -- for a party tonight. Never made candy before.

We all lost '08. Wasn't a worthy individual worth voting for at all. Politics is the single-most corrupt business out there -- worse than Wall Street, worse than the Big Three, worse than big oil.

And please, comprehension... I never said he used it. I said that many on the left did. I heard it myself more than once.

1. No human is perfect.

2. There a "multi" button; learn how to use it.

Oh good grief, would you two quit fussing at each other. I am the one who should be fussy. I finally started my Christmas shopping today. I tripped in the store and have a huge gash on my lower leg and another on my foot. Both are all swollen and black and blue and hurt like a ^%%$$**! So, here is my confession, to make it feel better, I am sitting here drinking white russians. It is my bosses fault, he bought me a huge bottle of kahlua for Christmas.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
