justme2u 0 Posted December 4, 2008 I just had my consultation and am scheduled for my surgery for next wed 101 Dec and just found out that the surgeon will not give the first fill until after 12 weeks after surgery? That is three months...That just sounds way too long to wait. Anyone else had a surgeon make them wait this long?:cursing: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
nurselinda 0 Posted December 4, 2008 My surgeon makes you wait for at least 6 weeks. He told me this is due to swelling around the new pouch and it takes weeks for it to reduce. I was not hungry for the first 4-5 weeks after and had a hard time just getting in the Water and needed protien. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
RestlessMonkey 7 Posted December 4, 2008 Mine waits 6 for 1st but then fills SLOWLY. So that at 3 months out I'm at 3 cc's in a 14 cc band. He says his patients have great success with this slow rate. I trust him. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
