Bellasmom 0 Posted December 3, 2008 Hello and thank you for being here! Im flying out to Mexico Sunday AM and all of the sudden full panic is setting in??? 4 months of research, plenty of financial manipulation (self pay) and tons of conversations with anyone and everyone who knows me and now I panic? I guess the fear is in having it done in mexico and living outside of DC... I mean what if something does not do so well?? I feel like I am jepardizing my families financial security (that is if something happens and I end up needing to get to the local hospital/Dr's to get it remedied. Are these normal thoughts? Is it normal to freak out like this?:cursing:
mvande123 0 Posted December 3, 2008 Hi, I can see why you might be nervous, this is a life-changing experience! That's a long way to go for surgery, but if you have done your research and you're pretty confident that the surgeon is a good one, then you should be good to go. Of course there are physicians with whom you can follow up when you get home, and this forum is great for finding answers to any kinds of problems you might have, as well as wonderful support. I think it's pretty normal to be freaking out at this point. I wish you the best of luck on your adventure!
